OUR leadership

As Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Recreation—and previously Mortar—he has spent more than two decades at the forefront of healthcare brand transformation. His career has been defined by a relentless drive to elevate how groundbreaking innovations are brought to life through story, design, and strategy.

In addition to founding two creative agencies, he also served as Vice President of Brand and Creative at Avinger, a groundbreaking medical device company redefining the treatment of peripheral artery disease. There, he helped shape the voice and vision of one of the industry’s most innovative ventures, reinforcing his belief that creativity can be as powerful and disruptive as the technologies it represents.

Throughout his journey, he has partnered with some of the most influential names in healthcare and medtech—including Johnson & Johnson, Verb Surgical, Ethicon, Abbott, Access Closure, Intersect ENT, Acutus Medical, Insightec, Clorox Healthcare, Penumbra, Endologix, Silk Road Medical, Tympa Health, Philips, and many more. His work has helped these organizations articulate their unique value, inspire confidence, and connect with audiences in authentic, memorable ways.

His creative leadership has been recognized with multiple industry honors, including multiple Addy Awards, underscoring his commitment to excellence and innovation in brand storytelling.

With deep expertise in storytelling, brand strategy, and creative leadership, he brings together imagination and insight to redefine what healthcare marketing can achieve. He believes every transformative medical innovation carries with it a story that deserves to be told with urgency, clarity, and humanity—and he has dedicated his career to making sure those stories are impossible to ignore.

Erin helps MedTech and healthcare innovators find clarity in complexity, guiding them to transform bold ideas into brands that connect. As Managing Director at Recreation, she leads strategy and operations with a focus on shaping go-to-market plans that spark growth, build trust, and drive lasting impact.

With a background spanning brand strategy, competitive intelligence, and client leadership, Erin has partnered with global innovators including Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Nevro, and Mammotome. She brings both market insight and creative storytelling together, ensuring every brand Recreation builds lives up to the responsibility of transforming lives.

Matt, a creative director and multidisciplinary designer located in Los Angeles, has a proven track record in brand strategy and visual communication. His expertise spans identity systems, interaction design, and art direction, focusing on the comprehensive development and revitalization of brands. A graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Matt has accumulated over 15 years of experience collaborating with a diverse range of brands including Netflix, DoorDash, AT&T, and numerous healthcare brands.

Jeremy believes powerful storytelling lives at the intersection of artistry and purpose. As Video Director at Recreation, he captures the human side of innovation, creating films that connect audiences with brands and turn complex ideas into moments of clarity and emotion. His work brings Rec’s belief in balance to life — grounding advanced technologies in stories that feel personal, authentic, and unforgettable.

With over a decade of experience spanning content strategy and filmmaking, Jeremy has collaborated with global brands including Google, Waymo, Netflix, Facebook, Salesforce, Cartier, HP, Fader, Sony Ericsson, Polycom, Invisalign, Martinelli’s, and Mindbody. He brings a filmmaker’s eye and a strategist’s mindset, ensuring every project not only looks beautiful but moves people to believe.
