Viblok is a skin defense lotion designed to be applied post-wax or post-shave. It works by creating a seal over small nicks and cuts, which can also help to prevent skin-to-skin transmissions of STI’s.
Our challenge was threefold. We needed to establish the brand, let our audience know their current grooming routine may place them at risk, and provide an engaging way to get the word out. The brand was looking to appeal to a younger target audience, so we strategically adapted a confidence-evoking, bold, and sex-positive tone.
The tagline “Be Smart, Be Smooth, Be Sexy” became the brand’s mantra. After establishing the bright, attention-grabbing packaging, we moved into web design, product photography, and a social media series.
Beyond establishing the look, /feel and tone of voice, we also launched a campaign with illustrator Robin Eisenberg. Her clever illustrations combined seamlessly with dialogue in the brand’s tone of voice, and the resulting comics hit home with our target audience.
As the campaign launched, Robin posted the illustrations on her personal page and received 13,000 likes. Additionally, the ads have resulted in 96% website visits and 91% profile visits. After adding the illustration to Viblok’s Instagram Story, we saw another 100+ impressions.
